Will the IND vs PAK match be boycotted in the Asia Cup 2025? Harbhajan Singh is furious; he took BCCI to task

"Blood and water can only flow together. Why do we give them so much importance?..." This statement is from former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh. When he was asked a question about India playing a match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup, he gave this direct answer and criticized the BCCI.

Let us tell you that the Asia Cup 2025 is to start from September 9, and the India-Pak match in the tournament is scheduled for September 14, but due to the ongoing tension between the two countries, legends are constantly demanding a boycott of this match.

Harbhajan Singh demanded a boycott of the IND vs PAK match.

Harbhajan Singh (Harbhajan Singh on Ind vs Pak) was recently a part of the World Championship of Legends, where the India Champions refused to play group-stage and semi-final matches against the Pakistan Champions.

In this squad, veterans like Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina, and Yusuf Pathan refused to play against Pakistan given the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

Now, before the Asia Cup (Asia Cup 2025), Harbhajan Singh says that the country comes first, and he feels that Team India, captained by Surya, should also refuse to play against the neighboring country.

Bhajji said in an interview with the Times of India,

"They have to understand what is important and what is not. It is simple. For me, the soldier of our country who is standing on the border, his family, who is not able to see him many times, gets martyred, and he is not able to return home. They make such a big sacrifice for all of us. So it is a very small thing that we cannot miss a cricket match."

Let us tell you that for the Asia Cup 2025, Oman, UAE, and Pakistan are part of Group-A, while Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka are part of Group-B.
