News agency ANI had claimed, citing sources, that the talks of alliance between AAP and Congress are in the final stage. Apart from the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress, there was talk of including some other parties of India Alliance in the alliance. It was being said that Congress may get 15 seats and other India Alliance members may get 1 or 2 seats. Aam Aadmi Party will contest the remaining seats on its own.
Arvind Kejriwal responded and denied the claim made by ANI citing sources. Kejriwal, while responding to ANI's post on the social media platform Ek, said, 'Aam Aadmi Party will contest this election in Delhi on its own. There is no possibility of an alliance with Congress.'
Aam Aadmi Party has so far released two lists for the Delhi Assembly elections. In the first list, the party announced candidates for 11 seats. In the second list, candidates for 20 seats were declared on Monday.
