India has continued its campaign in the Women's World Cup by defeating Pakistan by 88 runs. Earlier, Sri Lanka was defeated by the team led by Harmanpreet Kaur. In the match played at the R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, India scored 247 runs in 50 overs. In response, Pakistan's team was able to score 159 runs in 43 overs and was all out. In this match for India, Kranti Gaur and Deepti Sharma took three wickets each, while Sneh Rana got two successes.

Pakistan's innings

With this victory, India has improved its 11-0 records in women's ODIs against Pakistan, and now the name of the Indian team has now won 12 matches against Pakistan. Pakistan's start was very poor, chasing the target. The runout of opener Muniba Ali (2) proved to be the first major turn of the match. He stepped out of the crease for a while after escaping from LBW off Kranti Gaur, and at the same time, Deepti Sharma ran him out with a brilliant direct hit. After this, Kranti Gaur (3/20) put two consecutive shocks and put Pakistan in crisis. He first caught Sadaf Shamas (6) and then bowled Alia Riyaz (2). Pakistan's score was 26/3 at that time.

Meanwhile, Sidra Amin (81) held one end and tried to handle the team by shaking a 69-run partnership with Natalia Parvez (33). But as soon as this partnership was broken, Indian spinners made a full grip on the match. Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana together destroyed the middle order. Sidara Amin patiently scored 81 runs off 106 balls, but Pakistan's last hope also ended as soon as she was out. Eventually, the entire team collapsed for 159 runs in the 43rd over, and India won the match by 88 runs. Kranti Gaur (3 wickets) and Deepti Sharma (3 wickets) were the most successful bowlers from India, while Sneh Rana took two wickets.

India's innings

Opener Pratika Rawal (31) made a fast start, hitting three consecutive fours in an over of Diana Baig. However, star batsman Smriti Mandhana (23) was once again dismissed in the Powerplay. Once the LBW appeals were avoided, captain Fatima Sana was lbw out. Rawal was also dismissed soon when her cut shot was blown off the off stump. After this, Harleen Deol (46) handled the innings. He first shared a 39-run partnership with Harmanpreet Kaur (19) and then added 45 runs with Jemima Rodrigues (32).

Harmanpreet was dismissed by putting an inner edge, while Deol added runs while playing with restraint, but lost wickets in an attempt to play a big shot before the half-century. Jemima got a life on a no-ball, but she was also dismissed for 32 runs. After this, Deepti Sharma (25) and Sneh Rana (20) shared an important partnership of 42 runs, which stabilized the score. In the final overs, when Pakistan's bowlers returned and took consecutive wickets, Richa Ghosh (35 runs, 20 balls) played a rage. He hit three fours and two sixes, including a brilliant sweep shot. For Pakistan, Diana Baig took four wickets, while Sadia Iqbal and captain Fatima Sana took two wickets each. At the same time, Ramin Shamim and Nashara Sandhu got one wicket each.
