Delhi Rains: Heavy rain in Delhi-NCR, auto drowned in Minto Bridge; Waterlogging causes traffic jams in many areas

The temperature in the capital on Monday was one degree Celsius above normal. Due to this, there was humid heat during the day. However, very light rain occurred in some areas in the evening. According to the Meteorological Department, moist heat will continue for two to three days.

 

Rain may occur in the next two days as well

 

It has been cloudy since Tuesday morning and light rain is also occurring in some areas. The maximum temperature is likely 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius. The weather became pleasant due to rain on Tuesday. Light or moderate rain may also occur on Wednesday and Thursday.

 

The maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 35.6 degrees Celsius, which is one degree Celsius above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, which is one degree Celsius above normal. In the evening, 1.5 mm of rain occurred in Pitampura. Apart from this, light rain occurred in some places in East Delhi as well.

 

The air remained in the 'satisfactory' category for the 23rd consecutive day

The air quality in Delhi remained in the satisfactory category for the 23rd consecutive day. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air index may increase on Tuesday. Due to this, the air index may reach more than 100. The air quality may remain in the moderate category for three days.

 

According to the CPCB, Delhi's air index was 83, Faridabad's was 62, Ghaziabad's was 93 and Noida's air index was 90. Due to this, the air quality in these cities remained in the satisfactory category. Greater Noida's air index was 102 and Gurugram's air index was 141.
