Data from the outage tracking platform Downdetector showed a sudden surge in complaints, but Google has not yet issued an official statement regarding the cause of the disruption or an estimated time for restoration.
According to reports, YouTube's operations have largely returned to normal. The number of complaints, which peaked at over 11,000, has now significantly decreased. Users experienced "Error 502," including delays in video loading, server connection issues, and app crashes.
In addition to YouTube, disruptions were also reported for Google Search and YouTube TV. Google has not yet released a detailed statement on the exact cause of the outage or an official explanation.
Downdetector data showed a rapid increase in complaints—from approximately 3,500 initial reports to over 11,000 in just a few hours, indicating a widespread service disruption.
According to the platform, approximately 73% of users reported website-related problems, 18% highlighted video streaming issues, and 9% experienced app-related errors.
