Corona cases are increasing rapidly in Karnataka. Three patients infected with the new variant of Corona died in Karnataka. Meanwhile, an increasing number of tourists are heading towards the hilly areas to celebrate Christmas and New Year holidays (New Year 2024).

 

Traffic jam creates havoc in Himachal

For the last few days, tourists have been arriving in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir for holidays. In Himachal, the problem of traffic jams has become quite terrible. Vehicles are standing on the roads for hours. On one hand, while Corona cases are increasing across the country, on the other hand, the rush of tourists in these states has increased the concern of the government.

 

Thousands of tourists gathered in Nainital on the occasion of Christmas

   On the occasion of Christmas, about 20 thousand tourists reached Nainital city. Due to such a large number of tourists reaching the city, there were traffic jams for hours on the road as well as on the Bypass, Naukuchiatal Road, Tikonia Tirahe, Danth, and Tallital Road.

 

Long queues of vehicles in Atal Tunnel, Rohtang

Tourists are heading towards Himachal Pradesh in large numbers to celebrate New Year holidays. However, tourists have to face heavy traffic jams. Hundreds of tourists (Himachal Tourism) remained stranded in long queues at Atal Tunnel, Rohtang. There is a traffic jam for several kilometers. At the same time, the occupancy in hotels was up to 90 percent.

 

According to the information, more than 28 thousand vehicles passed through the Atal Tunnel in a single day. At the same time, 55,345 vehicles reached Shimla in the last 72 hours.

 

Corona cases increase concern amid snowfall

According to the Meteorological Department, snowfall is expected in many hilly areas including Shimla on December 31 and January 1. An increased number of tourists can reach the hilly areas to enjoy snowfall. At the same time, the increasing cases of Corona have further increased the problems of the government.
