According to a social media post, university students came out of their dormitories as soon as the earthquake was felt in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu. There was a commotion there. Chinese media reported that the rescue team had reached the spot. Rescue operations have been started. Tents, folding beds, and quilts are being delivered to the spot. Chinese President Xi Jinping has given instructions to speed up the rescue work. Along with this, he has also given instructions to take measures to reduce the number of deaths. The injured are being admitted to the hospital, where their treatment is ongoing.
