More than 500 people are forced to live on railway tracks in Assam. So far 15 people have lost their lives here. Bihar has a maximum of 33 deaths due to lightning. Assam: 7.12 people from 29 districts homeless
According to the Assam State Disaster Management, around 7.12 lakh people are affected by the floods in 29 districts of the state. More than 500 families from two villages of Jamunamukh district have made their temporary shelter on the railway track. More than 3.36 lakh people are affected in Nagaon district alone, while 1.66 lakh people have been affected in Cachar district, 1.11 lakh in Hojai, and 52709 in Darang district.
Bihar: 33 deaths in 16 districts
At least 33 people died in 16 districts due to thunderstorms and lightning in Bihar on Friday. CM Nitish Kumar announced an assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of those who lost their lives in the incidents. The State Meteorological Department says that light rain with thunderstorms may occur in some parts on Saturday and Sunday. This is because pre-monsoon activities have now become active here.
