
In Karnataka's Tech City Bengaluru, the police have taken major action against the gang running a fake degree racket. Police raided based on unknown information and busted the gang involved in making fake educational certificates and distributing fake degrees of Masters and Ph.D.
Bengaluru City Police Commissioner informed that information was received about a racket that was issuing fake educational certificates including Masters and Ph.D. degrees from various universities and various prestigious institutions in India.
Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Prathap Reddy said that based on concrete information, an institute providing distance education was searched. Around 1000 fake certificates and seals from various universities have been found during the search. At the same time, four people have been arrested in the case and they are being interrogated. There may be more arrests in the case, search is on for other accomplices of the accused.
