Within no time a queue of vehicles formed. It took drivers more than 15 minutes to travel some distance. Vehicles also passed at the Maharajpur Border and Tulsi Niketan Border.
Traffic returned to normal after about two and a half hours when the pressure on vehicles was reduced. When people returned from work in the evening, the speed of vehicles slowed down.
Drivers faced problems in the morning and evening. The traffic jam has been a problem for drivers for more than 10 days. The pocket money of drivers has also increased. Police forces of two police stations and PAC personnel remained deployed at UPgate. Police duty has been imposed from the respective police stations on other borders also.
Jam on internal roads
As the pressure of vehicles increased in the morning, a queue of vehicles formed near Arthala on GT Road. Drivers also had to face traffic jams on Kanavani Puliya, CISF Road. It took more than half an hour for the drivers to travel some distance. Even on Friday, due to tight security arrangements, drivers may have to face traffic jams.
