A violent clash broke out between two groups of students at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Sunday evening over non-veg food. Many students were injured in this. ABVP members have accused the Left Wing of not allowing worship on Ram Navami. He said that today on Ramnavami at 3.30 pm, the students had kept puja and havan. Left-wing people did not allow them to worship after reaching there, later they started talking about food disputes.
After the violent clash, members of both the groups demonstrated overnight at the police station. Now an FIR has also been registered on this matter.

Ram Navami and Iftar party were together in JNU's Kaveri Hostel. Non-veg was also kept at the Iftar party. The controversy started about this. One group said that non-veg should not be kept on the menu on the day of worship. The conversation between the two groups over food suddenly turned into a fight.

At the same time, JNU Students' Union and Left-Wing students have accused the ABVP of stopping non-veg food. The incident took place in the Kaveri hostel of JNU. JNU Dean ate food with students
After the uproar, JNU Dean Sudhir Pratap was seen in action. He ate food at Kaveri Hostel with ABVP and Left-Wing students. He attempted to pacify the matter from both sides. The Vice-Chancellor Dean of Students also interacted with all the students at Kaveri Hostel. Police reached there on the information of the university. DCP Manoj C. said that some students have been injured in the incident, and have been rushed to the hospital. According to the police, the situation has been brought under control. The DCP said that those who are guilty of this incident will not be spared. Delhi Police said that students of JNUSU, SFI, DSF, and AISA have filed cases against some students of ABVP. Under which an FIR has been registered under section 323/341/509/506/34 of IPC. According to the police, ABVP students have also filed a complaint against the students of the left-wing.

All India Students Association (AISA) president and former JNUSU president N Sai Balaji said that around 4-5 pm on Sunday, he received information that some ABVP students threatened the mess manager to stop eating non-veg, drove away from the chicken vendor, and attacked the mess committee members.
He told the dean and the warden that such things should not happen. There should be freedom to eat as per choice, vegetarian food is always there. Balaji said, “We saw ABVP members pelting stones from outside the gate of Kaveri Hostel. He abused, and physically abused women. We have no problem with anyone's prayer.
