The White House has rejected a claim made between India and Canada. It was claimed that America had reprimanded Canada for alleging India's involvement in the Najjar massacre. Which has now been completely rejected by America. It was being said that America has reprimanded Canada just for building strong relations with India.
White House National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson said on Wednesday that the US is coordinating and consulting with Canada on the matter and is also talking to the Indian government. Watson tweeted and said that reports are coming that we have reprimanded Canada. That's a lie. We are talking with both countries on the matter. Earlier, US National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said that America wants to handle the matter transparently. Kirby said the allegations are serious. Something should be said only after investigation. Kirby has also urged India to cooperate in the investigation.
Canadian PM accuses Indian government
According to foreign media reports, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had alleged on Monday that the Indian government may be behind the murder of Nijjar. Trudeau had said that Canadian security agencies have reason to believe that agents of the Indian government killed Nijjar. Canadian agencies are investigating the possibility of an Indian conspiracy in Nijjar's murder. Trudeau stressed that any involvement in the killing of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil is unacceptable.
Britain also responded
British Foreign Secretary Cleverley had tweeted a day earlier saying that all countries should respect the sovereignty of other countries and their laws. We are in regular touch with the Canadian government regarding the allegations against India regarding the murder of Nijjar in the Canadian Parliament. This is a big issue. The Canadian Investigation Agency should investigate this and bring the accused to justice. He said that it is not appropriate to comment on the matter without the investigation report.
