The G-7 summit took place on Monday at the Schloss Elmau Palace in Germany. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the invitation of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The summit focused on climate change, energy, health and food security, and gender equality. Apart from this, serious discussions were also held on the Ukraine-Russia war and the Indo-Pacific region. During this, without naming Russia and Ukraine, Modi said that due to some reasons energy and food crisis is coming to the fore.

Important points of Modi's speech

It is a misconception that poor countries cause more damage to the environment. India's 1000-year history also proves this fact wrong. We have preserved nature.

17% of the world's population lives in India. We have delivered LED and clean cooking gas to every household in India. We have been fulfilling our responsibility towards the environment and will continue to do so. Every poor family has an equal right to energy. It is not just for the rich.

We hope that rich countries will help India in terms of clean energy. Today India has the world's first solar-powered airport.

Modi-Biden meeting

There was a group photo session before the summit started on Monday. This one moment caught everyone's attention. Actually, before the group photo, Modi and Canadian PM Justin Trudeau were talking. US President Joe Biden stood at a distance. When he saw Modi, he followed him in quick steps. Wanted attention by thumping Modi's shoulder. As soon as Modi looked back, he immediately took Biden's hand. Then the two heads of state kept talking for some time. This was followed by a group photo session.

Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reached Munich, Germany. There he addressed the Indian community. Modi had said – today is June 26, which is important from the point of view of democracy. At the same time 47 years ago today, an attempt was made to crush that democracy by taking it hostage. Emergency was imposed on democracy on the same day. After this democracy won. The people of India responded democratically to the crushing of democracy.

G-7 is a group of seven countries

The G-7 group is a grouping of the seven richest countries in the world, currently headed by Germany. The group includes Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United States. Countries like Argentina, Indonesia, Senegal, and South Africa have also been invited.

US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and many other top leaders are participating in this meeting.

Modi's warm welcome in Germany

Earlier, the people of the Indian community present there gave him a warm welcome. Meanwhile, a German girl who married an Indian touched Modi's feet with her husband and took his blessings. This girl asked the Prime Minister in Hindi- How are you? Then asked in Gujarati- Kem chho (How are you). Modi seemed happy with this style. He said to this girl – you have also learned Hindi.
