Vikrant Massey starrer film 'The Sabarmati Report' has been released. The film hit the theatres on 15 November. There was a lot of craze about 'The Sabarmati Report' based on the Godhra incident, but after its release, the film does not seem to be getting much response from the audience. The film opened its account at the box office with a very low collection on the first day.

 

'The Sabarmati Report' has taken a slow opening at the box office. The booking of the film started a day before its release. After its release, Vikrant Massey's film has collected a total of Rs 1.15 crore in India.

 

What is the story of the film?

 

The film 'The Sabarmati Report' is based on the Godhra incident in Gujarat. On 27 February 2002, the Sabarmati Express was going from Ayodhya to Ahmedabad and most of the Hindu pilgrims were travelling in it. They were returning from a religious gathering in Ayodhya. Some people set fire to a coach of this train and 59 people lost their lives in this incident. Due to this, communal riots broke out across Gujarat. The film 'The Sabarmati Report' shows how this incident and riots were shown by the Hindi and English media.

 

The actor was getting threats due to the film.

 

Let us tell you that due to 'The Sabarmati Report', the lead actor of the film Vikrant Massey was getting death threats. The actor himself had revealed this. In the trailer launch of the film, Vikrant had said - I am getting threats. Without drawing attention to it, this is something that I am dealing with and we, as a team, are collectively dealing with it.
