Intensifying its attack on the Congress, the BJP on Monday accused Congress leaders of colluding with foreign forces intent on destabilizing India. Also, it asked Sonia Gandhi to disclose her role as co-chairman in the activities of an organization funded by the George Soros Foundation.
At a press conference at the BJP headquarters, national spokesperson Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said that an anti-India experiment is going on in a planned manner. He said, Congress is hand in glove with foreign forces. This is now clearly visible. Congress wants to make the condition of the country worse. A day before this, the BJP had alleged that Sonia is associated with the Forum of Democratic Leaders-Asia Pacific Foundation, an organization funded by the Soros Foundation, which has supported the idea of Kashmir as an independent nation. Trivedi claimed that Sonia Gandhi is the co-chairman of the FDL-AP Foundation. He said this is the same George Soros who had openly promised that he would invest a billion dollars to destabilize the Modi government. Describing it as a serious matter, Trivedi said that other members wanted to raise the issue in the Upper House, but the opposition did not allow it.
A well-planned anti-India experiment
Trivedi said that a report on farmers came on February 3, 2021, during the Parliament session. The Pegasus report came on July 18, 2021, just a day before the monsoon session began. The Hindenburg report came on January 24, 2023, before the budget session. Referring to some other cases, he said that the occurrence of such news or incidents during the Parliament session or before the start of the session which disrupts the proceedings of Parliament is not a mere coincidence, but a well-planned anti-India experiment.
The government put international relations at stake: Congress.
On the other hand, the Congress hit back at the BJP and alleged that the Modi government has also put India's international relations at stake for businessman Gautam Adani. Kheda, the head of the party's media cell, claimed that the children of many ministers associated with the BJP have received grants from Soros's organization. He said that the real issue is that the king's life is in the parrot and this parrot is Adani. Kheda released a video and said, that since the Parliament is in session, it is visible that the government is ready to put the country's international relations at stake to save one person. This conspiracy has not started from today but from 2002. According to Kheda, the ruling party accused the US State Department, after which the State Department said that this could affect India-US relations.
Congress wants constitutional debate in Parliament.
Congress MP Manickam Tagore said, "We wanted the government to discuss issues of public interest in Parliament... Why is the government getting nervous when we are protesting on the Adani issue outside Parliament?... How can we create an impression that PM Modi has handed over India's wealth to Adani? This is our only question... The BJP is trying to stop the normal functioning of Parliament with these imaginary stories of George Soros... We want Parliament to run and constitutional debate to take place.
