In the statement given by Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on October 27 regarding Gilgil-Baltistan, the commander of Chinar Corps, Lt Gen ADS Aujla, said that we are fully prepared. Whenever such a decision is taken and we get the order, we will fulfill it. We are continuously improving our operational preparedness and activities to make them even better. We are constantly improving our firepower. So whenever the need arises, we are not going to back down.
Lt Gen ADS Aujla said that the ceasefire which has been going on for 20 months has paid off. The Army has improved its infrastructural facilities along the Control Line (LoC) in North Kashmir. The anti-infiltration system has been strengthened. The situation is completely under control. So far this year, eight terrorists have somehow managed to infiltrate and three of them have been killed. This is the lowest number of terrorists who have infiltrated Kashmir in a single year during the last 32 years.
Let us tell you that the border separating Jammu and Kashmir from slave Jammu and Kashmir is called the Line of Control-LoC. From guarding the LoC in North Kashmir to counter-terrorist operations in the interior of the Valley, the responsibility of the 15th Corps is with the Army. This is called the poplar core. On 25 February 2021 between India and Pakistan, an agreement has been reached to restore the 2003 agreement of war. Since then, there has been no shelling on each other's positions on the LoC from both sides and the situation is calm.
The influx of tourists is a sign of the improving situation in Kashmir: Chinar Corps Commander Aujla said that the situation in the valley is calm and normal on various parameters. The biggest challenge for us is to maintain peace and normalcy in the interior of the plaintiff while maintaining the ceasefire. The capability of the army has improved manifold: In the last 75 years from the year 1947 to the present day, the capability of the Indian Army has improved manifold. Today, technology is also being fully used in various activities of the army. State-of-the-art technology and information technology are in a way integrated with the activities of the Army. We are fully prepared to fight and win any future war. The current year has been very good so far considering the overall condition of the plaintiffs.
Infiltration is at an all-time low: This year infiltration is at an all-time low. Only about eight terrorists have managed to infiltrate. Three of them have been killed. This is the lowest number of terrorists infiltrating Kashmir in any year during the 32 years of ongoing terrorist violence in Kashmir. All the key leaders of terrorist organizations operating in Kashmir have been killed. Nevertheless, much remains to be done at the ground level. If God wills, soon the situation in the Valley in Kashmir will be even more secure, calm, and confident.
Conspiracy to spoil the situation: The Corps Commander said that continuous efforts are being made from across the border to spoil the ever-improving situation in the plaintiff. Recently there have been infiltration attempts along the LoC in North Kashmir, which have been foiled by our jawans. We are giving a befitting reply to the enemy, thwarting every plan. If the situation is returning to normal in the plaintiffs today, then the army alone is not responsible for this, but a coordinated and holistic strategy has been adopted in collaboration with other security agencies and police. Even more, it is the cooperation of the common people of Kashmir that is giving the most edge to our campaign against terror and making it successful.
