The Pakistan cricket team and its players always find ways to create a ruckus. Before the start of the T20 World Cup 2024, the Pakistan team reportedly organized a private dinner in the US, in which they invited fans to meet.
This initiative was not for free for any charity. The entry fee for this private dinner was kept at 25 US dollars. The entry fee of 25 US dollars for the private dinner enraged the Pakistan cricket world. Former Pakistan legend Rashid Latif lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Board and the players.
Rashid Latif shed light on the surprising event through his social media handle. According to the video uploaded by Latif on social media, fans were allowed to meet Pakistani players during the private dinner. For this, they had to pay 25 US dollars as a fee. The idea enraged the Pakistani legend and others.
Latif got furious
Latif was seen saying in the video, "I have heard about the official dinner, but this was a private dinner. Who did this? This is nonsense. This means that you can meet our players for 25 dollars. May Allah bless them. If there was some problem, people would have said that the boys are earning money."
Presenter Nauman Niaz called it a bad situation for the Pakistan cricket team, then a fan suggested that if the team had to go ahead with this idea, then at least they should have kept the price a little higher. Latif also said that he could understand the idea of organizing a charity dinner, but a private dinner and that too with a fee is completely different from his thinking.
