Satyendar Jain, the health minister of the Delhi government, lodged in Tihar Jail in the case of disproportionate assets and money laundering, is again in controversy. In a video posted by BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawalla, Satyendar Jain is seen getting a massage in jail. After the video, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia attacked AAP and called Aam Aadmi Party a spa-massage party.
After the video surfaced, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia immediately came out in favor of Satyendar Jain. He said that Jain is unwell and is taking physiotherapy on the advice of doctors. He raised the question as to how the videos of Tihar were leaked and reached the BJP. At the same time, he termed as shameful the BJP making fun of Jain's illness in this way.
Four CCTV footage of Satyendar Jain surfaced from Tihar
Four videos of Satyendar Jain have surfaced from Delhi's Tihar Jail. These have been described as CCTV footage. It is visible in these videos that a person is massaging Satyendar Jain's feet, head, and body. ED had also alleged some time ago that Satyendar Jain was getting VVIP treatment in Tihar Jail. These videos are being told between 13 to 21 September.
The first video, 13 September
This video is of 36 seconds. In this, a man wearing a white T-shirt is massaging the minister's feet. Lying on the bed, Satyendar Jain is looking at some papers. A comfortable pillow or cushion is also visible on the chair kept near the bed. A pillow like an orthopedic pillow is also visible on his bed. The remote is lying on a pillow. Mineral water bottles are also visible in the room.
The second video, 14 September
This video is of 26 seconds. In this, Satyendar Jain is lying comfortably on the bed and a man is pressing his feet. Newspaper or magazine is also visible on the chair in his room.
The third video, 14 September
This video is also 26 seconds. In this, Satyendra Jain is sitting on a chair and a person is massaging his head. A pair of shoes and a pair of slippers are visible in the room. In this video too, a remote is visible on his bed.
The fourth video, September 21
In the fourth video of Satyendar Jain from Tihar Jail, four people are seen present in his room and the minister is discussing with him. One of these people is going to massage the minister. He is massaging their feet. In another such video, Jain's hand is being maraj.
DG and superintendent were removed for providing facilities to Jain
Tihar Jail's barrack number 7 superintendent Ajit Kumar was suspended on November 14 for allegedly giving VVIP treatment to Satyendar Jain. 10 days before this i.e. on November 4, Tihar's DG Sandeep Goyal was removed and replaced by Sanjay Beniwal. He was accused of extorting Rs 10 crore from Tihar-bound thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Along with these, some other employees were also removed.

The ED had said that in violation of the court's order, food is brought for Satyendar Jain from his house daily. His wife Poonam Jain often visits him in the cell, which is wrong. He holds meetings with other accused in the case for hours in his cell. Satyendar Jain is taking the wrong advantage of being the Jail Minister.
The Tihar administration denied the allegations
The Tihar administration said that the ED had sought CCTV footage of AAP leader Satyendar Jain's cell and ward, which has been provided to the agency. No one from outside comes into Satyendar Jain's cell.
In the morning, when the cell opens for the counting of prisoners, all the prisoners present in the ward can talk to each other. Meanwhile, Satyendra holds a meeting with the other accused in the case. The jail administration has denied having any kind of electronic gadget in the cell.
