India entered the final by registering a win against England on Thursday. Team India defeated England by 68 runs and avenged its defeat in the last semi-final. India has reached the final for the third time in the history of the T20 World Cup. All the legends of the cricket world expressed happiness on India's victory through social media. Rohit Sharma's army will face South Africa in Barbados on June 29.

Talking about the match, the Indian team had set a challenging score of 171 runs for seven wickets on a difficult pitch thanks to Rohit's (39 balls, six fours, two sixes) half-century and his 73-run partnership for the third wicket with Suryakumar Yadav (47 runs). Then India, with the brilliant performance of its spinners Akshar (three wickets for 23 runs) and Kuldeep (three wickets for 19 runs), bundled out England for 103 runs in just 16.4 overs. Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets for 12 runs in 2.4 overs. For England, only captain Jos Buttler (23), Harry Brook (25), Jofra Archer (21) and Liam Livingstone (11) could reach double figures.

 

India took revenge on England

 

India entered the final of the T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 by defeating defending champions England by 68 runs in the rain-affected second semi-final. Team India will face South Africa on Saturday in the title match. The Indian team, champions of the initial phase of the tournament in 2007, thus reached the third T20 World Cup final. With this win, India avenged the 10-wicket defeat to England in the tournament's semi-finals in 2022.
