In an IPL 2026 match, Virat Kohli once again appeared in his signature style. While chasing a target for Royal Challengers Bangalore, he got off to a brisk start, scoring 49 runs off 34 balls. His innings featured six fours and one six. Kohli was tantalizingly close to his 66th IPL half-century, but on a score of 49, while attempting a big shot off Avesh Khan’s bowling, he was caught by Nicholas Pooran.

 

 

Anushka Sharma’s Reaction Goes Viral

 

Anushka Sharma, who was present at the stadium, looked visibly disappointed the moment Kohli got out. Her reaction, captured on camera, quickly went viral on social media, where fans also expressed their regret over Kohli’s missed half-century. Anushka placed her hand on her cheek, and her face fell in disappointment. Those seated around Anushka also appeared disheartened.

 

 

While batting, Virat was even spotted dancing on the pitch. In response, Anushka was seen playfully teasing him from the stands, mimicking his moves. Fans shared a video of this moment, captioning it: “The childlike innocence of these two just never seems to fade!”

 

 

Bowlers Lay a Strong Foundation for Victory

 

Earlier in the match, RCB’s bowlers restricted the Lucknow Super Giants to a total of 146 runs. Rasikh Salam Dar delivered a brilliant bowling performance, claiming four wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar (three wickets) and Krunal Pandya (two wickets) also made significant contributions. For LSG, only Mitchell Marsh (40) and Ayush Badoni (38) were able to put up a fight to some extent. Mukul Chaudhary also played a valuable innings of 39 runs off 28 balls, featuring three fours and two sixes.

 

 

RCB Chases Down Target with Ease

 

Chasing a target of 147 runs, RCB won the match in 15.1 overs, losing five wickets in the process. Apart from Kohli, Captain Rajat Patidar (27) and Jitesh Sharma (23) played brisk innings to guide the team to victory. For the Lucknow Super Giants, Prince Yadav claimed three wickets, while Avesh Khan took two. Tim David and Romario Shepherd remained unbeaten on 14 runs each. RCB’s next match is against the Delhi Capitals on April 18. Meanwhile, the Lucknow team will face the Punjab Kings on April 19.
