Following the incident where her hijab was removed during a government program, Dr. Nusrat Parveen has left Bihar and moved to Kolkata to be with her family. She has currently decided not to join the Bihar government service.
Nusrat left Bihar the day after the incident, which occurred on December 15th. She was supposed to join government service on December 20th, but due to the emotional trauma, she felt unable to do so. Nusrat says that whatever the Chief Minister's intentions may have been, what happened in public deeply hurt her. Nusrat Parveen stated that she has studied in a hijab from school to college. It has always been a part of her personal faith and identity.
