According to Director General Health Services Dr. Atul Goyal, the HMP virus is not new and has been active in all the countries of the world including India for a long time.
If we talk about the spread of the common pneumonia virus in winter, then the risk of its infection increases in winter. But there is no sign of its infection increasing in India.
A senior official of the Ministry of Health said that the risk of pneumonia virus infection increases in the winter season and affects the elderly and children under five years of age more.

Both the cases in India have been detected through regular monitoring of ICMR. Samples of some cases of pneumonia are sent to the laboratory to monitor the virus infection so that the infecting virus can be correctly identified.
HMPV is a globally recognized respiratory disease-causing virus, due to which people of all age groups can have difficulty in breathing. In this, patients have problems like cough, fever, difficulty in breathing, and runny nose.
According to the Health Ministry, the entire country is currently monitoring the cold and breathing problems caused by pneumonia virus infection. But so far there are no signs of any sharp increase in it.
At the same time, the advisory of HMPV says, 'Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitizer. Avoid crowded places, and maintain a distance of more than one hand from people affected by flu.
