Vishwa Vokkaliga Mahasamastan Math's Mahant Kumar Chandrashekharnath Swamiji on Tuesday (November 26, 2024) said amid the Waqf property dispute that a law should be brought in which the Muslim community does not have the right to vote. Chandrashekharnath Swamiji has said this while urging everyone to unite to protect the farmers and their land.

Swamiji said that it should be ensured that there is no Waqf Board and it is not a religion to snatch someone else's land. Swamiji said, 'Everyone should fight against the injustice being done to the farmers... It is said that the Waqf Board can claim anyone's land. This is a great injustice... It is not a religion to snatch someone else's land... So everyone should fight to ensure that the farmers' land remains with them.'

Addressing a protest rally organized by the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh in Bengaluru, he said, "Farmers are the providers of food, so they should be protected and promoted, and it should be ensured that nobody takes away their land and property." "Everyone should ensure that there is no Waqf Board... because politicians do things for votes. A law should be brought in which the Muslim community does not have the right to vote... this should be done. In Pakistan, they have done this, their others do not have the right to vote," the Swamiji claimed.

"Similarly, in India also, if we ensure that they (Muslims) do not have the right to vote, they will remain (limited) to themselves and everybody can live in peace," he said.

A section of farmers and others in parts of Karnataka have alleged that their lands have been marked as Waqf properties, which has been opposed by various farmer groups, organizations and the opposition BJP.
