Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh recently broke his silence on the delay in the release of his film "Sardaarji 3" in India. His film was not released in India after the Pahalgam terror attack. Speaking at a concert in Malaysia, Diljit said that his film was shot before the terrorist attack, and the India-Pakistan match was played afterward. He also said that he has many answers to give, but he is remaining silent.

Diljit Salutes the Flag

Several videos of Diljit saluting the national flag surfaced on social media. He said, "That is my country's flag. Always respect it." He then asked the audience for permission to speak. He said in Punjabi, "When my film Sardaarji 3 was being shot in February, matches were being played."

Diljit Dosanjh Remains Silent

The singer said, "The national media tried its best to portray me as anti-national, but the Punjabi and Sikh communities can never go against the nation." I have many answers, but I remained silent, kept everything bottled up. I didn't say anything. No matter what anyone says to you, you shouldn't internalize that poison. That's what I've learned from life. That's why I didn't say anything.

He added, "Even then, and even now, we always pray that the terrorists receive severe punishment. My film was shot before the attack, and the match was played after."

Sardaar Ji 3 has not been released in India.

In April, a terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam. Approximately 26 Indian tourists were killed, and many were injured. Following the attack, Diljit was heavily criticized for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film "Sardaar Ji 3." Consequently, it was not allowed to be released in India. The film was released abroad on June 27.

India-Pakistan Match

On September 14, a cricket match was played between India and Pakistan as part of the Asia Cup. India won the match by seven wickets but refused to greet the opposition. This was the first India-Pakistan encounter in an Asia Cup match since the Pahalgam attack.
