Protests against the UGC bill have also begun in Himachal Pradesh. The Rajput Mahasabha and Savarna Samaj (upper caste community) strongly protested against the UGC bill in Hamirpur district. The Rajput Mahasabha and Savarna Samaj held a rally in Hamirpur, expressing their anger and raising slogans against central leaders.

 

 

Representatives of the Rajput Mahasabha, Hamirpur and Savarna Samaj submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister and President through the Deputy Commissioner of Hamirpur, demanding the withdrawal of the bill. The Rajput Mahasabha of Hamirpur alleged that the central government has betrayed the upper caste community by issuing the notification for the UGC bill.

 

 

They stated that in 1990, the BJP-backed VP Singh government implemented the Mandal Commission report, sacrificing the lives of thousands of young people from the general category. Joginder Singh, General Secretary of the Rajput Mahasabha, said that if the central government does not withdraw the bill, the upper caste community will force the leaders to kneel during the elections.

 

 

Attempt to divide on the basis of caste.

On this occasion, Joginder Singh, General Secretary of the Hamirpur Rajput Mahasabha, said that the government is working to divide people on the basis of caste. He strongly opposed the UGC bill being implemented by the central government. He said that if the central government does not withdraw the bill in time, the upper caste community will force the leaders to kneel during the elections.

 

 

Major movement if the bill is not withdrawn

Meanwhile, Sumit Thakur, President of the Hamirpur Vyapar Mandal (Traders' Association), said that he opposes the UGC bill passed by the central government. He said that the central government is betraying the upper caste community. He strongly opposes the UGC bill. He said that the UGC bill will increase caste discrimination in society. If the government does not withdraw the bill, a very large movement will begin.
