Now those infected with mild symptoms can be discharged after seven days of being found positive. During this, if the patient's condition remains fine for three consecutive days and he does not get a fever, then there will be no need for testing for discharge.

On the other hand, if patients with moderate symptoms show improvement and their oxygen saturation level remains more than 93 percent for three consecutive days without oxygen support, then such patients can be discharged.

According to the Health Ministry, the states where concerns have been raised, the infection rate is very high, where this rate is 22.39 percent in Maharashtra, 32.18 percent in Bengal, 23.1 percent in Delhi, and 4.47% in Uttar Pradesh. The Joint Secretary, citing a statement issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), said that Omicron is spreading much faster than Delta. Data from South Africa, the UK, Canada, and Denmark show that Omicron has a lower risk of hospitalization than Delta.
