She received the title of Abhinav Saraswati at an early age. She acted in films with famous actors of all languages, including Dilip Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Dev Anand, MGR, NTR, Shivaji Ganesan, and Raj Kumar. Saroja Devi brought life to every character she played. She contributed a lot to taking the Kannada film industry forward. B. Saroja Devi's last rites will be performed in her hometown.'

She became the lead heroine in about 161 films. She is the only heroine to do so. She also did many films with the famous South Indian actor NTR. She also acted with Dilip Kumar in Hindi films. Saroja Devi was also honored for her contribution to cinema. She was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Government of India in 2008.
