IND vs NAM: Will Abhishek Sharma miss the Namibia game? Bumrah practices; Washington joins the team

India is scheduled to play against Namibia on Thursday in the T20 World Cup. Ahead of this, worrying news has emerged for the team. Abhishek Sharma did not participate in the training session on Tuesday due to a stomach issue, which has cast doubt on his participation against Namibia. India defeated the United States in their first Group A match.

Washington trained

Indian team assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate said before the match against Namibia, "Washington joined the team yesterday and practiced on Tuesday. Abhishek still has some stomach issues, but we are hopeful he will be available for the match as it is still a few days away. Bumrah has not bowled for 10 days, but he is feeling much better now, and his movement is good. We will finalize the team after practice."

Bumrah is fit

It's a relief for India that star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has returned to fitness and participated in full-strength practice. He initially did some light jogging and then, after changing into his spikes (special cricket shoes), bowled at full speed to captain Suryakumar Yadav. Bumrah even bowled the Indian captain with his speed.

Suryakumar and Tilak looked in control

Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma looked in complete control during the practice session. Both played mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy with ease. Tilak even hit a six of nearly 100 meters. All-rounder Washington Sundar, who is returning from injury, was seen cautiously conducting fielding drills. He was seen having a long conversation with head coach Gautam Gambhir. Washington later bowled to Tilak Verma. With Abhishek recovering from illness, Washington slowly making a comeback, and Bumrah back in full form, the Indian team management faces the challenge of taking some crucial selection decisions before the match.
