Ahead of the India Alliance meeting, Trinamool Congress (TMC) has advised the Congress to give up its zamindari culture and work towards presenting senior leaders like Mamata Banerjee as the face of the alliance. TMC supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is already in Delhi for the meeting. He said that the PM of the block will be announced after the Lok Sabha elections.

TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said, 'Congress should learn from the defeat in three states. They will have to abandon the Zamindari culture. For the victory of the Indian alliance, they will have to make other senior leaders like Mamata Banerjee the face of the alliance.

Congress's sharp reaction after TMC's remarks

Let us tell you that Congress had recently lost to the BJP in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Unhappy with the performance of the country's oldest party, Kunal Ghosh said, 'Congress is continuously losing in defeating BJP. On the other hand, there is TMC, which has defeated BJP many times. However, this comment has drawn a sharp reaction from the West Bengal Congress unit.

Spokesperson Soumya Aich Roy said, 'We do not need to learn lessons from TMC to fight BJP. It is Congress that is continuously fighting against the BJP. Not like TMC, which has also compromised with the saffron party on many occasions. He also said that TMC is with the leftists in West Bengal.

Discussion on PM's name after Lok Sabha elections

According to a TMC source, the party is very keen on seat sharing. In New Delhi, Mamata Banerjee said that after the Lok Sabha elections, the name of the Prime Minister will be discussed in the India alliance. CPI(M) leader Vikas Ranjan Bhattacharya said TMC would hardly have any role in the seat sharing. In West Bengal, we know that both TMC and BJP are two sides of the same coin. Let us tell you that Congress and CPI(M) are contesting elections against TMC and BJP in the state.
