The new variant of Corona, JN.1, is being reported to be increasing in many countries of the world including India. According to media reports, in many other countries including China, crowding in hospitals has increased due to Corona, and cases of death among the infected are also being reported. If seen from India's perspective, the infection has been confirmed in an average of 500 people every day for the last 20 days.

According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday, the infection has been confirmed in 760 new people in the country. The JN.1 variant has so far spread in about 11 states of the country, taking the total number of infected people to 511. The number of active cases of corona in the country is 4423.

Health experts say that the risk of infection is continuously increasing, due to which everyone should be careful. Given the increasing cases, the Center has asked the states and union territories to maintain constant monitoring of the infection. At present, two states, Kerala and Karnataka, have the highest number of infected cases.

Five deaths due to Covid have also been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) said. 4-5 people are dying every day, although the problem of comorbidity is being seen in most of these people.

Given the danger of infection, the Covid Task Force has issued new guidelines for those with positive reports. It has been advised that people who test positive for Covid-19 should self-isolate for five days. Also, ensure that elders and comorbid people in the family wear masks indoors and maintain physical distance from the infected.
