Batting first, Australia scored 171 for 5 in 20 overs. In response, India Legends won the match by 5 wickets with 4 balls to spare thanks to Naman Ojha's unbeaten 90 and then Irfan Pathan's scintillating innings. Naman Ojha scored the highest 90 runs for India. He faced 62 balls in his innings and hit 7 fours and 5 sixes.
The first semi-file of the Road Safety World Series 2022 was played between India Legends and Australia Legends. This match started on Wednesday (28 September), but due to rain, the match had to be stopped and the umpires decided that now it will be played on reserve day i.e. today (29 September). Australia Legends added 45 runs in three overs without losing a wicket on Thursday, playing ahead of Wednesday's score of 136/5. With this, Australia set a target of 172 runs for India to win.
