Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists in the Sudhpora area of the Tangdhar sector adjoining the Line of Control in district Kupwara. Out of two to three terrorists who were trying to infiltrate the Indian side from Pakistan, the security forces killed one near the border. While the other two terrorists managed to return safely after firing. However, after this infiltration attempt, the security forces started a search operation in the areas adjoining the Tangdhar sector.
To keep terrorism alive in Kashmir, Pakistan is constantly trying to infiltrate terrorists into Indian territory. Security agencies have also already alerted the security forces that more than 250 terrorists are ready to infiltrate across the Line of Control. In such a situation, before the process of snowfall intensifies, these terrorists are somehow trying to infiltrate Indian territory.

Military sources said that the terrorist killed is being told as a foreigner. The security forces have taken the body of the slain terrorist in their possession. Apart from incriminating material, arms and ammunition were also recovered from him. As a precaution, the security forces have conducted a search operation in the surrounding areas. People are also being warned that they should inform the police or the army as soon as they see any suspicious activity around them.
