India's big diplomatic move with the Taliban, Jaishankar held talks with the Afghan Foreign Minister for the first time.

After the Indo-Pak ceasefire, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held talks with Afghanistan's acting Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi. In the conversation, he praised Muttaqi for condemning the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 innocent civilians were killed.

 

Jaishankar also talked about the recent allegations of Pakistan carrying out missile attacks on Afghan territory and reports creating mistrust between India and Afghanistan.

 

The Foreign Minister gave information on social media.

Jaishankar has told in a post on internet media that today a very good talk was held with Afghanistan's acting Foreign Minister Muttaqi.

 

Jaishankar further said,

He has condemned the Pahalgam attack, which we appreciate. We also welcome the way he has recently rejected Pakistan's efforts to spread mistrust between India and Afghanistan.

 

Discussion on friendship with the Afghan

Jaishankar further underlined our traditional friendship with the people of Afghanistan and our continued support for their development needs. Discussed ways and means to further cooperation.

 

Earlier on Friday, the External Affairs Minister inaugurated the Embassy of the Republic of Honduras in Delhi along with Foreign Minister Enrique Reina.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Honduras Embassy in Delhi, Jaishankar said that this inauguration is a milestone for us and begins a new chapter in the relations between our two countries. He also appreciated Honduras' message of solidarity in opposing all forms and manifestations of terrorism.
