Solapur Fire: Prime Minister Modi expressed grief over the deaths in the fire incident in Solapur, and announced compensation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the deaths in the massive fire in Solapur. At least eight people were killed in the accident. The Prime Minister also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the families of each deceased. The PMO wrote on 'X', 'I am saddened by the deaths due to the fire incident in Solapur, Maharashtra. Condolences to those who lost their loved ones. Wishing the injured a speedy recovery. The families of each deceased will be given an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF. The injured will be given Rs 50,000.'

 

The incident took place on Sunday morning. As soon as the fire was reported, fire engines immediately reached the spot. A total of 11 fire engines were sent to the spot to control the fire. Fire officer Rakesh Salunke said that firemen were also injured in this rescue operation. It took 17 hours to control the fire.

 

The deceased include factory owner Haji Usman Hasanbhai Mansuri (80), his grandson Anas Hanif Mansuri (25), grandson's wife Shifa Anas Mansuri (20) and one-and-a-half-year-old great-grandson Yusuf Mansuri. The other four deceased were either employed in the factory or were their relatives. They have been identified as Mehtab Syed Bagwan (45), his wife Ashabanu (38), son Salman (20) and daughter Hina (26).

 

17 killed in Telangana

 

Earlier, in another incident in Hyderabad, Telangana, a fire broke out in a building at Gulzar House near Charminar, killing at least 17 people. Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma expressed grief over the tragic fire accident at Gulzar House near Charminar in Hyderabad. Eight children also died in the accident.

 

Wishing the injured a speedy recovery

According to a statement issued by the Raj Bhavan on Sunday, the Governor expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident and wished the injured a speedy recovery. The Governor prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.
