Sarfaraz Khan, who hails from Uttar Pradesh and plays domestic cricket for Mumbai, has not played international cricket yet. Despite this, he has become the star of Indian cricket. This swashbuckling batsman has reached the point on the strength of his fast batting that he is being compared to Sir Don Bradman. Sarfaraz has so far scored runs at an average of above 80 in first-class cricket. Among the batsmen who have scored at least 2,000 runs in this format, only Bradman has a better average than him. In the last Ranji season, Sarfaraz scored 982 runs at an average of 122 and was the top scorer of the tournament.
This is the same Sarfaraz who was thrown out of the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore by Virat Kohli 5 years ago. Sarfaraz is overweight and Kohli felt that cricket could not be played at a high level with such fitness. Today Sarfaraz is very close to the entry into India. He might even get the Indian jersey in the coming months.
Bhaskar has a special conversation with Sarfaraz Khan on Virat Kohli's decision, the behavior of Mumbai players with him, and the communal situation in the country. Read the full interview...
Question- What do you have to say about the communal situation in the country, it has also affected cricket?

Question- After scoring a century in the final of the Ranji Trophy, what about celebrating with Moosewala's signature step which went viral?
Answer- I have been a big fan of his, I practice listening to his songs. He is like an inspiration to me. I have a lot of love in my heart for them.
Question- You are consistently scoring runs in domestic cricket, and you are also being praised everywhere; But what will you say about not getting a chance in Team India, is fitness the reason?
Answer: I am doing my work. My job is to score runs and I do that with all my heart. I have changed my whole game in the last 2 years. My mind says that I will play for Team India soon.
Question- Your father has been with you in your cricket struggle, your younger brother also plays cricket; How does the whole family support you?
Answer- My father helps me a lot. Whatever I am today is because of him. He has the biggest hand in taking me this far. My brother also helps me a lot. Cricket is the only thing in my whole family.
Q: You are only the second player after Bradman to have scored an average of 80+ in the first class, will the selectors give this performance a priority? Answer- I am just doing my job, my next target is to give maximum time on the ground and perform well. If I do that then I will get a chance on the team soon.
