Talks are taking place between Israel and Hamas for the release of the hostages. Qatar, Egypt, and America are also involved in this conversation. Recently, Qatar announced that Hamas has agreed to the deal to release the hostages, but now a Lebanese media house has claimed quoting Palestinian sources that Hamas has not yet taken any decision on the deal. And he is thinking about it right now. Israeli media has also reported this news from Lebanese media.
'There was a hasty statement made by Qatar'
According to Lebanese media reports, the statement from Qatar was given hastily and wrongly. Till now the leadership of Hamas has not taken any decision regarding the deal. Lebanese media reports claim that the Israeli media is deliberately spreading talk of the deal being finalized so that the hostages' families, who are putting pressure on the government, can be kept quiet. Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majid Al Ansari recently said in a statement that the deal has been approved by Israel and initial positive confirmation has also been received from Hamas.
Hamas accused Israel of leaking news
Media reports quoted Osama Hamdan, a Hamas official, as saying that Hamas has not yet made a final decision on its official response. Hamdan has been quoted as saying in media reports that when all the preparations are done, we will give our answer on the deal, but till now we have not finalized anything nor has any agreement been reached yet. Hamdan said that the Israeli government is deliberately leaking such news to avoid pressure from the opposition and they are spreading confusion.

More than 130 people are still in captivity of Hamas. However, the IDF has claimed, based on its intelligence reports, that 18 hostages have died.
