Railways on Saturday successfully tested crowd control measures at New Delhi Railway Station. Under this, the movement of passengers without reservation was restricted to only one platform number 16 and when the demand increased, special trains for Mahakumbh were run from the same platform.

Five special trains were run from New Delhi.

Given the increasing number of passengers for Mahakumbh, five special trains were run from New Delhi on Saturday evening. It is known that 18 passengers died and many were injured in the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station recently.

According to the Railways, the crowd of devotees going for Mahakumbh bath at New Delhi Railway Station is increasing. Between 6 pm on Saturday and 11 pm, 13 thousand 105 passengers caught the train from here to Prayagraj.

Ashwini Vaishnav himself kept an eye.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself was monitoring the situation from the war room of the Railway Board and was constantly giving directions to the Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board Satish Kumar and other senior officials. General Manager of Northern Railway Ashok Kumar Verma was in the mini control room built at New Delhi station during this time.

Minister Vaishnaw visited New Delhi Railway Station on Sunday evening and reviewed the arrangements and passenger facilities. He said that the experiment proved successful as it did not cause congestion on other platforms and ensured the smooth departure of devotees going to Maha Kumbh.

Monitoring the sale of tickets without reservation
