Tension in the Middle East may increase further after an attack on a hospital in Gaza amid the Israel-Hamas war. The attack has derailed US diplomatic efforts to garner support for Israel's right to defend itself. The summit of Arab leaders with US President Joe Biden in Amman, Jordan has been canceled. Biden is reaching Tel Aviv today to express support and solidarity towards Israel.

Hundreds of people are feared dead after a deadly attack on Gaza's Al-Ahli Arab hospital. Hamas and Israel have blamed each other for this attack. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan and Turkey have also accused Israel of bombing the Al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza City. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed the barbaric terrorists of Hamas for the attack.

Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi announced that the summit meeting of Jordan's King Abdullah, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas with US President Biden in Amman on Wednesday has been cancelled.

Hamas blamed Israeli military airstrikes immediately after Tuesday's blast at the Al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza City. After this, the Israeli army issued a statement denying these allegations and said that the explosion was caused by a mistaken rocket launch by the Islamic Jihad group.

Dramatic statement of Hamas leader

In a dramatic statement, Hamas leader Ismail Haniya blamed America for the attack and alleged that Israel was showing aggressive attitude because of America's support. Haniya said the massacre at the hospital confirms the enemy's cruelty and its fear of defeat. He called on all Palestinians to raise their voice against the occupation of Gaza.
