The former housekeeper has claimed that he was forced to work long hours in unhygienic conditions without rest or meal breaks.
The employee, named Mercedes Weda, joined the workforce in September 2019. In the complaint filed Tuesday in Seattle state court, she claimed she was sometimes made to work 10 to 14 hours a day during that time. During that time he oversaw a team of five to six housekeepers.
According to the complaint, employees did not have access to a respectable break room or rest area while working at Amazon. Also, there was no easily accessible toilet.
