Tibetan guru Dalai Lama is known for his simplicity, he preaches non-violence all over the world. At the same time, he has written an article in which he said that if the people of India and China follow the path of 'non-violence' and 'compassion' then the whole world will be benefited. The Dalai Lama says that China is a historically Buddhist country and if it follows the ideals of non-violence and compassion along with ancient Indian wisdom, the whole world will benefit from it. One and a half billion people in both countries will get inner peace from this.

India can play a leading role in the world

In his featured article in the Manorama Year Book 2023, the 87-year-old spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lama, said, "I feel that India can play a leading role because of its great tradition of peaceful understanding rooted in the treasure trove of non-violence and compassion.". He said that over the years, India has made great progress in many fields, especially in terms of science and technology. Even though external disarmament (reducing the number of weapons a country has) is essential, it is important to reduce internal disarmament as well.

compassion is the root of all happiness

He said that for world peace people need peace of mind within themselves, and this is more important than material development and the pursuit of material happiness. Compassion is a miracle of human nature, a precious inner resource, and the foundation of both our well-being and harmony within society. From the time we are born, our mother takes care of us. Therefore, from a very young age, we learn that compassion is the root of all happiness.

Mahatma Gandhi the embodiment of 'non-violence'

He regretted that this natural appreciation of compassion tends to fade after he goes to school. Therefore, there is a need to incorporate 'Ahimsa' and 'Karuna' into the Indian education system, and their great benefits will be felt not only in India but across the globe. Hailing Mahatma Gandhi as the embodiment of 'non-violence', the Dalai Lama said he was greatly inspired by his ideal, which was adopted by Dr. Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela.

Tibetan are heavily influenced by Indian ideas

Describing himself as one of India's longest-staying guests, the Dalai Lama said he had lived in the country for more than six decades after fleeing his homeland, which was attacked and occupied by the Chinese Communists. Was. The Dalai Lama said that Tibetans have always been greatly influenced by Indian ideas.
