The Indian women's cricket team created history in Hangzhou on Monday. Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team won the gold medal by defeating Sri Lanka by 19 runs in the women's cricket final of the Asian Games 2023. PM Modi congratulated the women's team on this victory.

In the match played in Hangzhou, India won the toss and batted first, and scored 116 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Sri Lankan team could score 97 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs.
