Well-known actor Vijay officially unveiled the flag and symbol of his party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) today i.e. on Thursday. Vijay's parents were also present at the party office during the unveiling of the flag and election symbol of TVK. During this, Vijay said, 'I know you all are waiting for our first state conference. Preparations are going on for this and very soon I will announce it. Before that, I have unveiled the flag of our party today. I feel very proud. We will work together for the development of Tamil Nadu.'

Before unveiling the party flag, actor-turned-politician Vijay read an oath. He said that he would uphold the principle of equality for all living beings. In the oath, Vijay read, 'We will always appreciate the fighters who fought for the independence of our country and sacrificed their lives. We will always keep in mind the contribution of countless soldiers who tirelessly fought for the rights of our people from Tamil land. I will eliminate discrimination in the name of caste, religion, gender, and place of birth. I will create awareness among the people and strive for equal opportunity and equal rights for all. I pledge with all sincerity that I will uphold the principle of equality for all living beings.'

Earlier in a press statement issued in Tamil on Wednesday, the actor said that working for the people is a great blessing. It is like a great blessing if you have to work every day with a new direction and a new strength. 22 August 2024 is the day that God and nature have given us as such a blessing. This is the day when the main symbol of our Tamil Nadu Vijay Club, the flag, will be introduced.

Working for the welfare of Tamil Nadu, we will introduce our Veer Dhwaj, Vijay Dhwaj at our headquarters secretariat. It will become the symbol of our state. We will also release the flag song. I am happy to announce that we will also hoist its flag. Actor Vijay has recently entered politics and named his party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam in February this year, the release said.
