Harshit Srivastava alias Lala is the District Minister of BJP Yuva Morcha and has been the President of DAV College in the past. He had posted a tweet from his Twitter account on his Facebook post, in which objectionable posts were posted against a particular religion. As soon as the matter came to the notice, the police became active. Immediately a case was registered against it under sections 153A (spreading hatred in the name of religion or caste), 295A (inciting religious feelings), 507, and 67 IT Act of IPC.
