Announcing this, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that 20 to 25 government schools will be included in this board this year. Their association will be removed from CBSE schools with this board. Not all schools will be included in this board. The decision of which school to include in this board will be taken after consulting the teacher, principal, and parents.
Kejriwal said, 'In the last 6 years we have made better of government schools. Now we are going to the next stage with board formation. The establishment of the Delhi Board of School Education will take revolutionary changes in the education system of Delhi to new heights. The board will have a governing body which will be chaired by the Minister of Education. The board will also have an executive body which will be handled by a CEO. The two committees will have industry, education experts, principals of government and private schools, bureaucrats.
Delhi Education Board will have three objectives
The Chief Minister said, 'Now the time has come to decide what is being taught in Delhi and how. The board will have three major objectives. The first objective would be that every child should be a patriot. We have to prepare such children who will be able to handle the responsibility of the country in every field. The second goal is that our children become good human beings. Be a good person above religion and caste. The third motive is that the board will create such an education system that the child can get a job after studies. To get employment. Today's education system insists on rote learning. But Delhi Education Board will not insist on rote. The assessment of the child will last a full year. This will be the board of international level. Emphasis will also be laid on the personality development of students.
He said that the board will show the way to make a career in every child by removing the qualities inside it. There are close to a thousand government and 1700 private schools in Delhi. Most of them are related to CBSE. This year, 20 to 25 government schools will be started. We hope that in the next four-five years, other schools will also join this board by themselves.
