In fact, as part of a special campaign aimed at helping farmers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 100 farmer drones to spray pesticides in fields in different cities and towns of India through video conferencing.

 

During this, Prime Minister Modi said, earlier in the name of drone, it was thought that it was a system related to the army or things used to combat enemies, but now it is a new direction in the direction of the modern agricultural system of the 21st century. PM Modi said I have been told that Garuda Aerospace has set a target of making 1 lakh Made in India drones in the next 2 years. This will create new jobs and new opportunities for the youth.

 

Let us tell you that in the budget 2022-23, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made a big announcement for the agriculture and agriculture sector. Sitharaman had said that the Center will promote farmer drones, chemical-free natural farming, public-private partnerships for delivery of digital and high-tech services to farmers across the country in the financial year 2022-23. He had said that farmer drones would be promoted for crop evaluation, digitization of land records, and spraying of pesticides and nutrients.
