Kerala: Crowds gather in Kerala for Rahul's India Jodi Yatra, blessings taken from mother Amritanandamayi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' is getting huge public support in Kerala. This morning on the tenth day of the yatra, it proceeded from Puthiyakavu in the Kollam district of Kerala, attracting a huge crowd in the yatra.

 

Rahul Gandhi is an MP from Wayanad, Kerala. He is giving full thrust to strengthen the hold of the party in the state. The yatra started on September 7 from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. The journey will last for 150 days. During this time it will pass through 12 states. The 3570 km long journey will culminate in Jammu and Kashmir. The Yatra will pass through 20 cities in 12 states.

 

Hundreds of Congress workers are accompanying Rahul in the yatra. They have Congress flags in their hands. Gandhi and the members of the yatra had halted at Karunagapalli on Friday after walking about 24 km. Today the yatra resumed at 6.30 am. It will cover a distance of about 12 km and enter the Alappuzha district. During this, it will take a break at Kayamkulam at 11 am. After this, it will start again at 5 pm and after walking for eight kilometers, today's journey will end with a public meeting at Cheppad.

Rahul Gandhi met his mother Amritanandamayi on Friday night at her ashram near Karunagapalli. He also shared several photos with his mother Amritanandamayi on Facebook. With this, Rahul wrote that it is a privilege to meet Amritanandamayi Ma in her ashram near Kollam. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh told that the Bharat Jodo Yatra will start in Assam on November 1. Here this journey will go from Dhubri to Sadiya. Similarly, Bharat Jodo Yatra-West Bengal will also be organized in the next 3-4 months.

 

Vegetable sellers threatened not to donate for travel, and three suspended

 

On Friday, a vegetable vendor has also been threatened for not giving donations for the Congress's Bharat Jodo Yatra. According to news agency ANI, Congress workers misbehaved with the vegetable vendor for not paying Rs 2000 for the journey to Kollam. S Fawaz, who runs a vegetable shop, said that a team of Congress workers had reached his shop. He asked for donations for the journey. He gave Rs 500 but he demanded Rs 2000. After this damaged the scales and threw the vegetables. The workers have damaged the shop.

 

The Congress party has swung into action after it caught fire for allegedly threatening the shopkeeper for not paying the donation. Kerala Congress President Sudhakaran has suspended three party workers for misbehaving with a vegetable vendor.
