Culture and Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy said that India is planning to bring National Tourism Policy-2022 in front of the country and the world this year. So that it is safe, artistic, responsible, and sustainable development in the tourism sector. Till now India did not have any comprehensive and comprehensive tourism policy, but under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi a complete tourism policy will be given shape.
Reddy said at the National Conference of Tourist Police on Wednesday that India's one-year presidency at the G20 would be an important occasion to showcase the country's culture, heritage, hospitality, ethos, and tourist destinations in the best possible manner. The term of the Presidency will be from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023. We have to ensure that all the 400 foreign guests who come to the G20 summit carry happy memories of India on their way back. He said that the G20 meetings will be held across the country. This will be a very important occasion for us when we present to them the beautiful shade of our tourist destinations. Since these people are not ordinary tourists, they will be important officials, ministers, heads of various agencies, etc. from different countries. In such a situation, we have to take special care of the safety of the tourists. A zero-tolerance policy will be adopted in this regard.
Reddy said that many times foreign tourists get complaints about harassing taxi drivers and auto drivers. There are incidents of chain snatching at religious and other places, which fills these tourists with panic. These incidents tarnish the image of our country. Reddy said that during India's one-year presidency, more than two hundred G20 meetings are to be held in the country. During this one year, the arrangements should be kept tidy along with treating the tourists well. Apart from the discussion on all the topics, tourism is going to be an important topic. If this delegation will enjoy their stay in India, then they will go back and admire Indian culture and order and this will further enhance India's fame. It is noteworthy that in the G-20 19 countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, Britain, America) as well as the European Union.
Multilingual tourist police, guide, be a special app for the convenience of tourists
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that to make the tourist police more effective, apart from teaching them major foreign languages, a system of training guides, multilingual apps, and tourist monitoring should be prepared. Birla said at the Tourist Police National Conference on Wednesday that this will make the travel of foreign tourists very smooth and easy. They will not feel any difficulty in expressing their views. He said that there are many wonderful monuments and tourist places in India. But tourists make up their mind to visit a country only when the law and order there is good. No one wants to go in an unsafe environment.
