LPL 2023: Babar Azam won the hearts of the fans, but will not wear the jersey with the logo of the betting company in the Lanka Premier League

Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has refused to endorse and wear apparel bearing the logo of a betting company during the upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL), while several franchises in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) are sponsored by betting companies. A source close to Babar said that the Pakistani player had inserted a clause in his contract for LPL this year that he would not be associated with any betting company.

 

The source said, "Most of the Pakistani players have been telling the franchise owners and league organizers that they do not want to wear or endorse any betting company's logo was jerseys." Earlier, senior player Mohammad Rizwan had refused to wear a shirt with the logo of a betting company in the Pakistan Super League.

 

Pakistan captain Babar Azam recently went on Haj pilgrimage for the first time. He was accompanied by his mother and other close people. A video of him went viral on social media in which he is seen in a new look. Babar, who performed Haj, has shaved his hair. Babar's new look is in discussion and he has also talked about the Haj pilgrimage. Babur said, "Me and Ammiji went on Hajj for the first time. The atmosphere there is not easy. The work that has to be done in youth should be done, the longer it is delayed, the more difficult it will be.
