A source at Mumbai airport told news agency ANI that Alliance Air was supposed to take off from Mumbai to Bhuj, while the engine cover of the aircraft fell on the runway and took off without engine cover. Aviation expert blames maintenance work
Aviation expert Captain Amit Singh attributed the incident to poor maintenance work. He said that if the latch is not secure then the cowl detachment usually occurs after maintenance activity. The crew is also expected to ensure that the engine cowl is seated before the commencement of the flight.
