Major plane crash averted: Alliance Air engine upper part collapses after take-off from Mumbai, emergency landing in Bhuj

A major plane crash was averted on Wednesday morning. According to the information, as soon as an ATR aircraft of Alliance Air took off from Mumbai, the upper cover of the engine fell on the runway soon after, but when it was reported after a while, it was immediately safe in Bhuj, Odisha. Landed done. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has started an investigation into how the upper cover of the engine fell.

A source at Mumbai airport told news agency ANI that Alliance Air was supposed to take off from Mumbai to Bhuj, while the engine cover of the aircraft fell on the runway and took off without engine cover. Apart from this, a DGCA official told ANI that the flight landed safely at Bhuj airport and an investigation has started against the airlines. Soon after taking off from Mumbai, the Mumbai Air Traffic Controller (ATC) informed about this.

 

 

Aviation expert blames maintenance work

Aviation expert Captain Amit Singh attributed the incident to poor maintenance work. He said that if the latch is not secure then the cowl detachment usually occurs after maintenance activity. The crew is also expected to ensure that the engine cowl is seated before the commencement of the flight.
