Mundra Port Heroin Seizure Case: The NIA filed a second supplementary charge sheet on Monday (February 20) in the case related to the seizure of about 3000 kg of heroin at Mundra port in Gujarat. The NIA said that the consignment was sent from Afghanistan via Bandar Abbas, Iran.
The NIA said that it was found that there is an organized criminal conspiracy to smuggle an illegal consignment of heroin from Afghanistan to India through international trade routes. As per the investigation, the proceeds from the sale of heroin were provided to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives to carry out terrorist activities.

The agency said that Harpreet Singh alias Kabir Talwar, owner of popular nightclubs in Delhi including White Club (earlier known as Playboy), Jazba and RSVP, who was arrested in August last year, was involved in smuggling Afghan heroin into India.
